We Memorialize Judah Williams

A wonderful man, teacher, inspiration

and gift to our physical experience

Judah was instrumental to the establishment

of this Tequesta drum circle.

He inspired many with his gifts and injected

his charisma into the energy

that has continued at this site for six years.

He is one of our founders.

He will be missed on this plane, but only for a time

As we all go to where he has crossed into

And we know that his spirit soars

We love you Judah.

*The Tequesta Drum Circle was conceptualized and begun in the Fall of 2005 by Mark E. Foley and Serpentine Arborvitae. Judah Williams was brought in as one of the first facilitators as well. Moon Path Circle - whose officers include Sophia Letourneau and Spelcastor -became the official facilitators of the event in the Fall of 2006.  The Tequesta Steering Committee was formed in early 2008. Jazz Pizazz became the official Fire Spinning facilitator in November 2009. Many wonderful folks have contributed to this event, from all walks and places but each of us come together to celebrate something we all share in common ~ our spiritual and physical link to the Earth and Her seasons, to the Star that provides billions of years of light energy to transform matter into animate Life, to the Universe as a whole which undeniably teams with an incomprehensible intelligence of which we are a part, expressed temporarily in form, energetically forever. For thousands of years our species has created and used the drum. Despite the continent or culture, the drum has been with us from the beginning as the most primal - instinctual - tools for celebration, meditation and fun. Mystically we know the power of the drum resonnates with an inner calling to ecstatic moments of union, wether through playing upon it or dancing to it. Modernly, we know that the drum has physically healing potential.

A thanks to all the many local drum facilitators for their support and often times attendance. We thank everyone for bringing their positive energy , their unique expression and their giving dedication to making this a powerful, intentional experience.

Through the course of nearly six years we have listened to attendees and tried to adapt to all needs and requests as best as possible. Many who attend this event seek both drum and ceremony. Others seek only a time to drum. In the past we broke the circle twice, once for announcements and once for the seasonal ceremony. We have taken opinions into consideration and found a compromise to consolidate breaking circle only once, at a natural, organic dip in the drumming energy so that we can deliver important Announcements and commence a short seasonal Ceremony at the same time. This break will usually occur within the first few hours of the drum circle also taking into consideration a good attendance level so that most folks can hear announcements and participate as they wish. We thank ALL those who have contributed in the past.

Each season this circle builds upon the last with a combined, positive sweeping expansion of energy. The Tequesta fire circle has been honored and marked by many free-thinking and inclusive Clerics, Priests, Priestesses, Shaman and Volunteer wishing to speak from the heart and convey an uplifting message. Thanks to everyone for their presence and continued energy.

We have represented nearly every positive, life-affirming and love-centered or ecological faith and spiritual inclination (Native American, Wiccan, Christian, Hindu, Chi Gong, Raiki, Asatru, Unitarian, Eco-Spirituality, Gaian, Shamanic, Santeria, Eclectic, etc). Everyone of an open and life-affirming and accepting/tolerant faith, spirituality, creed or inclination that does not insist on one path and instead on the wisdom conveyed through all life-affirming paths is welcome to contribute. We honor those who have contributed here
